Enrollment by Ethnicity: White was most represented background in Ms Sch For Math And Sc schools in 2021-22 school year

White students made up 48.3% of the 232 students enrolled in Ms Sch For Math And Sc schools during the 2021-22 school year, making them the most represented ethnicity, according to the Mississippi Department of Education.

This is a 12.5% decrease from the previous school year.

Mississippi School for Math and Science had the highest enrollment in the district with 232 students.

A snapshot of Ms Sch For Math And Sc schools showed 48.3% of students were white, 25.4% were Black, and 20.3% Asian.

Ms Sch For Math And Sc roughly covers one school within Lowndes County and has a main office in Columbus.

Mississippi has continually struggled with public education. The most recent Report Card on American Education, from a right-leaning think tank, gave the state a C-. This is consistent with ratings stretching back nearly a decade.

The nonpartisan Education Week also ranked Mississippi schools as C- in their most recent analysis.
